A Tribute to Dusty Peak

Celebrating the life of a great husband, father, surfer, community leader

I met Dusty in 1964, when I met the Peak Family. At that time they consisted of Howard, Margarite, Marty and Dusty. I surfed with Dusty and we practiced Karate and just grew up together, he was one of my best friends. After doing a tour in Vietnam and returning to Malibu I lived at the Peaks, renting that trailer that Dickie Wheeler was talking about. I actually met my wife, Millie Jenson, on a double date with Dusty when we went to Cardi's for pizza. Dusty you have a special place in Millie and My hearts as you were a Very Special person and I'm honored to have known you. I remember when you came to the Lord, many years before me, but I'm there now so I know we'll meet again soon. I found this picture of Dusty, Marty Myself and I'm not sure whos in the background. My Prayers go out to Denise and the kids, May God Bless you.

OK Doug, have Millie gently but securely duct tape you to board of your choice, surf, back or plywood, have friends load you in the back of a truck or van and we will see you at 100pm. Tisha
Hi Doug, I'm sorry you and Millie won't be there friday, it would have been nice to see you both. I hope you will be feeling better soon. Or else take Tisha's advice, ya know she's a nurse and she'll take full responsibility for straping you down. It was great to see your name up on Dusty's tribute. Take care. Chris
Wish I could I'd love to be there.....

Hello Doug,

Man, it's nice to hear from you. I think about you and Millie from time to time and wonder how it's going and where you are. I get the feeling you guys cannot make it to the service, but everyone knows your hearts will be there. I know what a good friend of Dusty's you were, especially back in the days. Send me an email at billcarteris@aol.com and let me know how to get in touch or just fill me in on you and Millie, even Burkholtz, if you know where he's lurking, ha ha!
Doug-

Saw your name and can't pass on saying hello. It's been so many years but I'll always remember you like it was only a short time ago.........

Briefly, I live in Thousand Oaks (25 years) and have a wife (32 years) and two great sons, 25 and 19. The 19 year old is a little wild and, well, kinda like you were. Anyway, I send you my best...........
Dear Doug Sorry I am so tardy in writing this but I went through a serious depression and am slowly coming out of it. He was a unique man and I remember coming out to visit you many years ago in Victorville. He always felt very close to you and Millie. I hope you are well and you are enjoying your family Love Denise
