I hope I haven't lost perspective, perhaps my perspective has grown broader and more encompassing along with my age and my belly. I think we were there in a special time and era, like Malibu's Golden Age. Dusty, JoJo Perin, Rod Davis, and I guess even you were some of the iconic figures. It really was a unique time and place. My life has taken me many places that are interesting and beautiful, but nothing really compares to those years in Malibu where there were so many interesting people and things always seemed so hopeful. I think it was a magic place and perhaps to a lesser degree it still is.... I mean, we used to live in a A-frame at Nicolaus beach with paddle cats, surfboards, a skiff and rocks full of abalone, not to mention secret surf spots all to ourselves. Steve
